Doing everything 'right' and your gut still isn't happy?
Fibre for Grumpy Guts is a short, self-paced mini course that shows you which fibre to eat, how much to start with and how to build up gradually, to help you poo more easily, feel less bloated and enjoy more foods.

You're having oats for breakfast. Seeds on everything. Plenty of veg. You eat better than anyone else in your house, and you're still the one who's bloated, uncomfortable or waiting for a decent poo.
You've been told to "eat more fibre" so many times. Maybe you tried, and felt worse. Maybe you've cut out onion, garlic, bread and beans one by one, and you're still not comfortable. And you've downloaded the high-fibre food lists, but you still don't know what to have for lunch.
It's frustrating when you're making such an effort and still don't know what to eat to feel better.
"Eat more fibre" is only half the advice
Most fibre advice stops at "eat more" or "soluble vs insoluble". That still leaves you wondering which foods to choose and how much your gut can handle.
Fibre does three different jobs in your gut:
- Â GEL holds water to help regulate the consistency of your poo. It's usually the gentlest place to start.
- Â BULK adds volume to help things move. Great once your gut is ready, but it can feel rough if you're already backed up.
- Â FEED feeds your gut microbes. If beans or lentils have left you full of gas, it's often a sign of too much, too soon.
Gel first. Bulk next. Feed last.
If adding more fibre has left you feeling worse, it's worth looking at the types you're getting, how much you're adding and how quickly you're building up.
You'll start by looking at what you're eating and your symptoms, so you can work out where to begin and what to try next.

Imagine feeling more confident about what to eat
Easier poos, less bloating, and enjoying more of the foods you love. Maybe even beans back on your plate.
You'll have a plan for what to try, how much to start with and when to adjust, so you're spending less time second-guessing your next meal. That's what Fibre for Grumpy Guts is designed to help you work towards.
Start now and you'll be a few weeks in before Christmas.
What's inside
Six short modules, each with one 5–10 minute video, one simple action and printable downloads. Allow around 6–8 weeks to work through the course and gradually put it into practice, at your own pace.
Welcome: How the course works, and your fibre counter (with GEL, BULK and FEED labels) and one-page cheat sheet for the fridge.
Module 1: Find your starting point. A quick 3-day tally and gut check to work out where you're starting from and which module to begin with. Includes low, moderate and high fibre meal plans.
Module 2: Getting started with GEL. Which GEL fibres to choose, how much to start with and how to tell when you're ready to build up.
Module 3: Adding BULK. How to build up BULK fibres gradually and recognise when you need to adjust. Includes guidance on bran and a high-fibre swap library.
Module 4: Introducing FEED. How to bring FEED foods back in, with small starting amounts and sensitive-gut swaps.
Module 5: The legume ladder. My week-by-week plan for getting beans and lentils back on your plate, one rung at a time.

Start Fibre For Grumpy Guts Now! Have Access for Life.Hi, I'm Nic
I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian and founder of The Gut Health Dietitian, with more than 12 years' experience working with people with gut issues.
I lived with bloating for years and tried all sorts of quick fixes, including cutting out gluten and dairy and even a gut cleanse or two. I know how frustrating it is to put so much effort into what you eat and still feel uncomfortable. It's one of the reasons I became a dietitian. Fibre is something I look at with almost every client, including what they're eating, how much they're getting and what happens when they try to add more. I've brought that practical approach into this course, so you can understand what to try and how to adjust as you go.
Count Me In!This is for you if:
- Â you're eating well and you're still bloated, constipated or your gut still isn't comfortable
- Â you've tried adding fibre and felt worse
- Â you've been cutting foods out and want to bring them back
- Â you want a clear, step-by-step plan, not another list
This isn't for you if:
- Â you have new or changing symptoms that haven't been checked by your GP
- Â you're looking for a fix for a diagnosed medical condition. This course is general education, so please work with your GP or dietitian.
